Objectives of the Training Programme

About CACEE
Established in 2006,The Centre for Adult Continuing Education and
Extension(CACEE) of Cochin University of Science and Technology works with
a mission to develop Continuing Education Programme using Digital Learning
Techniques.The two main objectives of the programme are the introduction and
use of IT in teaching in campus to assist traditional teaching methods-tutorials,
seminars, lectures, labwork etc.The second is the use of IT for distance learning.
CACEE takes off from "Centres for E-learning" established in the year 2000 as
a part of CUSAT-Dutch Academic Programme to popularise E-Learning
techniques among the staff and students of CUSAT.The CACEE has many
advantages when compared to conventional teaching departments. It focusses on
the provision of continuing education for the changing world.
